Hey Everybody! As I mentioned in last week’s post, my Nonna
P slays with her technology prowess; she’s greeted, Norm style, ala Cheers, at
her local computer store, people. She’s not the type of Grandma that will knit
you booties for your lil’ piggies, or has a crafting room stuffed with color
coded plastic bins overflowing with 4 types of scissors, glues and those
ubiquitous wiggle eyes. She’s a technology beast, y’all. Nonna P’s office is
brimming with the newest tech gadgets on the market and well-stocked with all
computing options and parts: laptops, desktop, card readers, adapters, memory
for the upkick, and SO MUCH MORE.
Perfect example of her electronics bounty- she has her business laptop, her squatting at Starbucks laptop, and her weekly self-described “nerd squad meeting”, teched out laptop. So, yeah, she’s pretty set with her laptop game. Naturally, she has her requisite desktop for ultimate gaming binges, but as the New Year is approaching, she’s ready to treat herself and her staff and wants to upgrade her business’ desktop fleet!
Now, sure she loves her tech toys, but Nonna P is no fool, everybody. She’s a smart and savvy shopper and knows that refurbished desktops and laptops, which are sold at a fraction of retail costs found at big-box stores and online marketplaces, are considered a “better buy” amongst the tech world, as per Consumer Reports. That’s why she does the smart thing, and shops at PRC, pricerightcomputers.com, for y’all newbies.
So, she’s torn between these two powerhouse desktops. Oh, the beautiful choices, folks.
Since Nonna P is ready to upgrade her business' desktops, she's considering the Dell Optiplex 9020, which is only $579.99. She wants the power and manageability that the Dell Optiplex 9020 SFF can offer. She’s checking out the i5-4590, 3.30GHz, 16 GB 1TB HD, DVD-RW, Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit configuration.
She’s also eyeing the Lenovo Thinkcentre M92p Tower, which is priced at $579.99. This configuration is the Intel Quad Core 3rd Gen, i7-3770, 3.4GHz, 1GB DDR3 RAM 256 SSD + 1TB HD, DVD±RW, Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit. She’s excited about the storing capacity on this massive 1 TB hard drive and speedy processor i7-3770 Quad core processor.
Either choice is stellar, it’s a Techie WIN-WIN!
